Earl Hebner has a couple of big regrets in his career as one of the most recognizable referees in pro wrestling history.
* Montreal Screwjob
* Ric Flair's Last Match
The longtime pro wrestling official recently took part in a K&S virtual signing, during which he mentioned how he was unable to work the recent JCP Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match special, where he was asked to officiate the main event which featured the retirement bout of "The Nature Boy."
“I wish I had refereed the Ric Flair match," he said. "The last match."
Hebner continued, explaining that he wasn't able to do it.
"I wasn’t well at the time. I was asked if I would be interested in doing it, but after my operation, I couldn’t do it.”
