EC3 Talks About Working Behind-The-Scenes With Shawn Michaels, His Time In NXT & More

EC3 recently shared his thoughts on being called up from NXT to the WWE main roster so suddenly after returning to the company, before ultimately being released as part of the company's COVID-19 cutbacks in April and making his return to IMPACT Wrestling.

Louis Dangoor of WrestleTalk had the chance to speak to EC3 about his two WWE releases, working and pitching ideas to Vince McMahon, his main roster call-up in 2018, getting to work with Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, his plans for the future and more during a recent one-on-one sit-down discussion.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview, which you can watch in its' entirety courtesy of the WrestleTalk YouTube channel via the video embedded below.

On not "living in regrets" and how he views things that happened in the past: "Okay, EC3 doesn’t live in regrets and the past, now I guess he talks in third person. But like, regrets – a lot of this character that’s true to me is destroying the past, your past and not other peoples’ pasts. Like, you’re forgetting about what doesn’t matter once you realize the past is a story, it has no power over you."

On his call-up from NXT to WWE and working with Shawn Michaels and Terry Taylor behind-the-scenes: "So there are regrets in a sense, I think. The call-up came out a weird time. I didn’t fully explore what I wanted to there. I mean, I enjoyed my time thoroughly. I enjoyed working with Shawn Michaels and Terry Taylor as coaches, especially Terry Taylor was my songbird singing in my ear."
