Eric Bischoff Reveals How Close Jim Ross Was To Signing With IMPACT Wrestling

How close was Jim Ross to signing with IMPACT Wrestling during the old TNA days?

Few people know the answer to this question better than one of the top executives in the company from those days, WWE Hall of Fame legend Eric Bischoff.

The longtime pro wrestling personality recently spoke about this subject during the latest installment of his 83 Weeks podcast.

Featured below is an excerpt from the show where he touches on this particular topic.

"It wasn’t a rumor with Jim Ross. I was part of the conversation, and I think I was the one that gave Jim’s contact information to Dixie [Carter]. It was a real conversation, and I may have initiated that conversation to a certain degree and fully supportive of it. It didn’t work out, and Jim ultimately decided not to join TNA. I think Jim even made a trip to the ranch in Texas to meet Bob and Janice Carter. That’s how serious it got."
