Prior to this past Saturday's IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary PPV Event, there were reports mentioning that Eric Young was the mystery partner of Scott D'Amore against the team of Deaner and pro wrestling veteran Bully Ray after it was revealed that Eric asked for his WWE release this past April following WWE’s merger with Endeavor as Young didn’t want to work with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon since McMahon made his return to the WWE in an official capacity.
It was also mentioned on the report that Young being Scott D'Amore's partner would make perfect sense after the closing segment of IMPACT Wrestling this past Thursday night as Young was a member of TNA’s Team Canada stable from 2004-2006 and Eric was "killed" in storyline by Deaner in his last appearance on IMPACT Wrestling.
Eric Young and Scott D'Amore ended up winning the match at Slammiversary and Eric Young recently took to his Twitter to comment on his WWE departure and return to IMPACT Wrestling.

This felt good! This felt right! I made a hard choice and there is no doubt in my
