The Fiend Ambushes Alexa Bliss On SmackDown

Following Bayley and Nikki Cross's main event title bout on tonight's SmackDown, Alexa Bliss had an unfortunate encounter with Fiend where he would ultimately ambush Bliss in the ring.

Nikki Cross once again was defeated by the SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley, during their match on the July 31, 2020 edition of SmackDown. Cross was clearly upset as Bayley celebrated with best friend Sasha Banks as they headed up the ramp towards the backstage area. Cross's tag-team partner Alexa Bliss attempted to console her best friend inside the ring as Cross looked on. Cross shook her head no, now visibly upset. Bliss again tried to help Cross to her feet, again Cross shook her head no. One last attempt led to Cross shoving Bliss down inside the ring before exiting up the ramp herself.

The lights suddenly dimmed and the lights turned an ominous red glow. Appearing behind Bliss was The Fiend. His first appearance on SmackDown since the Extreme Rules cameo after the Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman Swamp Match. The Fiend leaned in towards Bliss, looking her in her eyes. Bliss didn't move as she was frozen with shock and fear. The Fiend knelt down and proceeded to raise his arm, extending his hand forward towards Bliss and ultimately delivering the mandible claw. Fiend didn't let up as he shoved Bliss down to the canvas as the show flashed to black and closed.
