-- Below are highlights of WWE's Q1 earnings report:
- Revenues increased to $291 million, up from $182 million in 2019; this is broken down into $256.6 million in revenues for Media, $17.5 million for Live Events and $16.9 million for Consumer Products
- Total number of WWE Network subscribers topped out at 2.10 million, which is up 5% from the same time last year. Of that total, 1.46 million were paid subscribers, which represents an 8% decrease year-over-year
- WrestleMania 36 was the most "social" event in company history
- Live event revenues declined from $26.2 million to $17.2 million primarily due to a decrease in events in North America (49 fewer events). The company said this was in its efforts to "optimize its touring schedule" as well as COVID-19 impacts.
- Average attendance increased 33% to 6,320 while the average ticket price was virtually unchanged at $53.46.
- Revenue from consumer products decreased to $16.9 million from $20.8 million due to lower sales including at live events and at WWEShop.com as well as licensing agreements.
