Finish Of Universal Title Match At WrestleMania To Be Addressed On Friday’s SmackDown

The main event matchup of last Sunday night's WrestleMania 37 Night Two Event saw Roman Reigns retain his WWE Universal Title by pinning both Daniel Bryan and WWE Hall of Famer Edge at the same time. The finish of the match led to a lot of speculation on social media that the WWE is doing some sort of an angle to decide who faces Roman Reigns next for his championship and The "Rated R Superstar" Edge was rumored to be that person.

This is due to a fan taking to Twitter and pointing out that Edge was on top of Daniel Bryan, and was pinning him, which makes him the real Universal Champion. This tweet got a response from WWE Official Adam Pearce, who said it is an interesting take. WWE referee Charles Robinson responded and explained that four shoulders were on the mat and The Head Of The Table was on top of both and in charge, which is why it is his discretion and that’s the final call. WWE Official Adam Pearce then told WWE referee Charles Robinson to meet him in his office ahead of this coming Friday night’s SmackDown on FOX.

It looks like we could see the controversy finish be addressed on Friday night’s post-WrestleMania 37 episode of SmackDown, but there is no word yet on where the company is headed with this. The next WWE PPV is WrestleMania Backlash on May 16th, and it’s possible that we see Reigns defend against Edge or Bryan, or both.
