As previously reported, former WWE and ROH Star Maria Kanellis, who is currently working in IMPACT as part of the Honor No More faction, took to her Twitter about a couple of weeks ago and announced that her new all-women's wrestling promotion called “Women’s Wrestling Army” is set to be launched soon.
The official Instagram account of “Women’s Wrestling Army” then announced that their first-ever event will take place on Sunday, May 1st at the Fete Music Hall in Providence, Rhode Island, with the event to be taped and aired at a later date.
Women’s Wrestling Army's Bobby Cruise revealed on his official Twitter the show's first two matchups. According to Bobby Cruise, Janai Kai is set to battle Nicole Savoy in Women's Division Singles action and NWA Women's Tag Team Champions The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) will put their titles on the line against Willow Nightingale and Holidead.
