-- Former MLW champion Alex Hammerstone confirmed yesterday that he has asked for his release from the promotion after five years. Fightfulselect.com is reporting that the relationship between the two parties has become "frayed" but as of now, MLW does not intend to grant Hammerstone's request like they have for others. His contract with MLW runs through 2025 so there is still over two years left but hasn't wrestled for the company since July and there are no current plans for him to be booked on any upcoming shows.
