Former WWE Champion Returns To In-Ring Action On WWE Main Event

Prior to last night's episode of Monday Night RAW going on air, WWE taped two matches for this week's episode of WWE Main Event. One of those matches saw former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal return to action when he beat Jeff Hardy in a one-on-one match, with the help of WWE NXT Superstars Indus Sher (Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh).

This is the first time Jinder Mahal made his return to action since the WWE Superstar Spectacle Event that was taped this past January in Florida for the India market. The Six-Man Main Event of that show saw Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher defeat Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz.

Jinder Mahal's first match since suffering a knee injury back in May 2020 took place in the Superstar Spectacle Event. Jinder has not wrestled since the Superstar Spectacle taping. This is also the first time Indus Sher made their appearance since the Superstar Spectacle taping, but it looks like they’re back to being heels now.
