Former WWE Ring Announcer Samantha Irvin Says She Still Has One Year Left On Non-Compete Clause

Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin surfaced on social media to share that it has been one year since she left WWE while revealing that she still has another year left on her non-compete clause.

Irvin and WWE parted ways in October of 2024 after the two sides reportedly couldn't come to an agreement on her involvement with outside projects.

At the time, Irvin noted that she wasn't content in her role as only a ring announcer and was looking to do more on-screen with WWE in other roles. She publicly stated that she wasn't happy as a ring announcer as she intended it for a way to get into the company but instead had aspirations of being a manager or a General Manager, presumably of Raw or Smackdown. However, she noted that WWE didn't see her as anything more than an announcer so she asked for her release.

Irvin also confirmed that she would return to wrestling at some point and with her husband Ricochet currently working in AEW, the signs would seem to suggest that once her WWE non-compete ends, she will likely look to make the jump to AEW.
