Bayley’s plans to compete at WrestleMania 41 were abruptly derailed just a day before the big event, as she was reportedly sidelined due to an "injury" sustained during a backstage altercation. Originally, she was booked to tag with Lyra Valkyria in a tag team title matchup against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Instead, Becky Lynch made her return and stepped into Bayley’s spot. Lynch and Valkyria managed to capture the titles from Morgan and Rodriguez, only to lose them back to the duo the following night.
During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Bishop Dyer—known formerly in the ring as Baron Corbin—voiced his frustration with WWE’s handling of the situation. He didn’t hold back:
"I've had a few days to kind of calm down because it made me extremely angry... Fuck you, that's my sentiment. I mean, to do it to Bayley of all people. Someone who's been there through COVID...has made lemonade out of dogshit repeatedly...is a model fucking employee. I don't give a shit if she knew the storyline [ahead of time]. Please, do all this, take all these bumps, work your ass off, and two days before we're gonna replace you...And I know Bayley's going to be fine...but that is a moment and it is bullshit all the way through. She didn't get to be on WrestleMania. She went down to NXT, elevated talent...does everything you've asked of her... Bayley deserved to be on WrestleMania...It is insane to me that you take that moment away."
Dyer wasn't alone in his stance. Several members of the WWE Universe, as well as the current WWE roster, have stood up for Bayley in the wake of the company's strange decision to pull her.
