Former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger Added To AEW Double Or Nothing Lineup

On Tuesday evening, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced a new entrant for their Casino Battle Royale, which airs as part of the one-hour "Buy-In" pre-show for the highly-anticipated Double Or Nothing 2019 pay-per-view.

AEW announced in a video posted on their official Twitter page last night that Shawn Spears (a.k.a. former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger) has joined the fold for the Casino Battle Royale.

"I’m coming to AEW because I believe in what they are doing," Spears told Sports Illustrated. "I believe in providing an alternative for fans, and I really believe that the audience has wanted an alternative for quite some time. This is now the platform to give people exactly what they want, and I am really looking forward to proving myself in AEW."

The rules of the Casino Battle Royale are such that there will be 21 entrants in the match, which starts with five wrestlers in the ring, with waves of five entering every three minutes after that. The 21st participant will then enter on their own.

Spears joins Jimmy Havoc, Billy Gunn, MJF, Michael Nakazawa, Jungle Boy, Glacier, Sonny Kiss, Joey Janela, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Brian Pillman Jr., Sunny Daze, Dustin Thomas, Marq Quen, Isaiah Kassidy, and Luchasaurus as official entrants in the AEW: Casino Battle Royale match on the hour-long "Buy-In" pre-show.

Also announced for the pre-show is Sammy Guevara vs. Kip Sabian in singles action. The pre-show for this weekend's big PPV will air live on AEW's YouTube channel starting at 7pm Eastern Time this Saturday, May 25th. In the United Kingdom, the pre-show will be available on ITV4.
