Several match announcements and a segment was recently made by the WWE for next week's episode of NXT 2.0. It was first announced that Tony D’Angelo (Joe Ariola), who's been introduced as a wrestler with connections to the mafia, will make his NXT 2.0 in-ring debut on next week's show. Tony D' Angelo cut a promo during last night's NXT and said that he will carry on the family tradition next week on NXT.
An announcement was also made that LA Knight will face Odyssey Jones in Singles action. Last night on NXT, LA Knight attacked Odyssey Jones during a backstage segment after Jones cut a promo, warning him of their match on next week's show. A massive 8-Man Tag Team Match was also announced for next week's show, where we will see NXT Tag Team Champions MSK (Wes Lee and Nash Carter) team with Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs to face the team of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams and The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson).
It would then be announced that Cora Jade will be in in-ring action on next week's NXT, but it wasn't revealed who her opponent will be. A backstage segment took place during last night's NXT, where Cora Jade and real-life boyfriend Trey Baxter were talking about how Cade is the youngest NXT Superstar at 20 years of age and how one day this will be the Generation of Jade.
Next week's episode of NXT will also see the second episode of “Lashing Out with Lash Legend.” During last night's NXT episode, Lash Legend (A.K.A. former WNBA player Anriel Howard) debuted her brand-new talk show segment, where she discussed the upcoming WWE Draft, the segment where real-life couple and NXT rising Stars Cora Jade and Trey Baxter were kissing in the locker room, and Andre Chase deserving her “Lashing Out of the Week” moment for how he flipped out on his students last week.
