-- FOX and NBCUniversal's exclusive negotiations rights window for WWE programming has now expired, according to a report from the NY Post. This means that WWE is now able to officially look towards other media companies and gauge their interest towards the two flagship programs, Raw and Smackdown.
-- The incumbent companies' exclusive negotiating period began around WrestleMania and in late May, WWE CEO Nick Khan said that FOX's window had expired but NBCU was still within theirs. The report added that while the incumbents usually remain the favorites to retain the shows, sources have indicated that Disney is showing interest in WWE's shows but are looking at airing it on FX as opposed to ESPN, which cannot guarantee either show a regular, specific night of the week due to their coverage of sports matches. The report also alluded to Amazon Prime Video as another potential partner for WWE, especially after their successful deal to air NFL Thursday night games.
-- In an interesting piece of information, the Post article also mentions that Apple and Warner Bros. Discovery as possible dark horse candidates to make bids for WWE due to their interests in NBA and that WBD actually does not have to remain exclusive to AEW which would be a crazy story if they somehow also went hard after WWE programming.
