Fox Says They Are Not Involved With Rumored Vince McMahon Company

Vince McMahon's potential return to wrestling is still uncertain, but Fox has officially shot down the speculation surrounding a possible partnership.

The rumors began circulating recently, following discussions on the 83 Weeks podcast hosted by Conrad Thompson and Eric Bischoff. Thompson mentioned hearing whispers that McMahon had been speaking with experienced wrestling cameramen and suggested that Fox might be preparing to air the rumored new promotion.

However, sports media reporter Andrew Marchand of The Athletic quickly addressed the Fox connection, revealing that a spokesperson from the network confirmed they are not involved in any way. Marchand shared the update on X (fka Twitter), stating, "There is a report that Vince McMahon might start a wrestling company with Fox as a partner. If McMahon is planning that or not, I don’t know, but the Fox part is not true, according to a network spokesman."

McMahon has been involved in a lawsuit with Janel Grant since 2022, one that forced him out as the head of creative in WWE. While McMahon did help usher the WWE sale to Endeavor, he has not been a presence backstage in nearly three years.
