Freddie Prinze Jr. Takes A Shot At A Recent WWE NXT Promo

Former WWE creative team writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to an episode of his "Wrestling with Freddie" podcast from iHeart Media’s My Cultura Network and spoke about a number of topics, including how the recent WWE NXT promo between WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly, WWE NXT North American Champion Wes Lee and WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker was similar to a grade school theater production, only it wasn't as good.

Freddie Prinze Jr. said:

“This was like watching a grade school theater production, only not as good. I mean, the blocking is just four people standing in a line. There was two guys, I think two Australian guys, Bron Breakker, and someone else. Everyone is just standing in a line across from each other, and everybody is just talking with their face to camera. There was nothing organic, good, remotely decent about it.”

Freddie Prinze Jr. also spoke about R-Truth getting hurt in a match against Grayson Waller and how he didn't know whose fault it was as he had no idea if Truth blew his knee out or if Waller was supposed to catch Truth, but didn't.

Freddie Prinze Jr. said:

“Then I saw R-Truth come out, and I don’t know who’s fault this is. I don’t know if he blew his knee when he jumped out of the ring, or if the guy that’s supposed to catch him was just watching and didn’t. I’ve watched it a few times now. It’s hard to watch … There was no effort to catch Truth whatsoever … That was the last part of NXT I watched.”
