Freddie Prinze Jr. On Which Recent AEW Feud Is The Best Wrestling Story In Over A Decade

Former WWE creative team writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to an episode of his "Wrestling with Freddie" podcast from iHeart Media’s My Cultra Network and talked about a number of topics, including which recent AEW feud he believes is the best feud in company history and the best wrestling story in over a decade.

Freddie Prinze Jr. said:

“I do give AEW credit for the best wrestling story in over a decade with the MJF and CM Punk storyline.” “Which, if you haven’t seen it, I’m sure someone edited it together on YouTube, if not, AEW themselves and their social media and YouTube group, they cut together some pretty awesome stuff.”

The feud between MJF and the AEW World Champion CM Punk began in late 2021 and that would lead to The Best In The World costing MJF his first-ever loss in 2022. MJF and Punk would then face each other in their first-ever matchup on the February 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite, where MJF defeated CM Punk in a Singles Match. MJF and CM Punk then battled each other in a Dog Collar Match at All Elite Wrestling's 2022 Revolution PPV Event, where Punk would defeat MJF after Wardlow handed MJF's ring to CM Punk.

CM Punk would go on to win the AEW World Title at the 2022 Double Or Nothing PPV Event from "Hangman" Adam Page, while MJF would lose to Wardlow after being hit by 10 powerbombs and cut a pipe-bomb promo on the June 1st episode of AEW Dynamite and he has not been seen on AEW programming since.
