For those of you who want just the quick results and don't want the details of matches, this is a quick recap of tonight's show. There are spoilers for tonight's show below. The full results can be found right here and you can find our preview over here! Tonight's episode aired live from Ted Turner's Power Plant the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Don't forget--SummerSlam is tomorrow night, not Sunday. And now you don't have to ever hear me utter those words again. At least 'til next summer.

Lesnar. Reigns. Last match, ever. Last Man Standing.

Friday Night SmackDown Quick Recap for July 29, 2022

Matches Tonight: Four (approx. 51 minutes)
  • Number One Contender's Donnybrook Match: Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus. Great match that ran long (26 minutes) and saw many close calls. Drew ultimately picked up the win and will face whomever wins the title tomorrow night, at Cardiff in Scotland. 8:03-8:29pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Aliyah vs Shotzi. Lacey Evans was originally scheduled but was unable to perform tonight. Shotzi picked up the win clean, using her new finisher called the "Never Wake Up." 8:49-8:52pm EST.
  • Tag Team Match: Natalya & Sonya Deville vs Ronda Rousey & SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan. Solid match with plenty of time for all four superstars to shine. Morgan refused to tag in Rousey for a long stretch, nearly costing them the win. Ronda got the eventual hot tag and made Deville tap out, picking up the win. 9:03-9:15pm EST.
  • Tag Team Main Event Match: the New Day vs the Viking Raiders. The Viking Raiders picked up the win and, after the match, used their shields and a steel chair to injure Xavier Woods. 9:37-9:47pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Build Towards Tomorrow's SummerSlam: Corbin and McAfee had another altercation; the Street Profits and Usos brawled until the Usos accidentally Superkicked Jeff Jarrett; many vignettes promoting tomorrow night..
  • The Special Counsel's Special Announcement: Heyman cut a promo about Reigns, giving us a spoiler that Roman will win tomorrow. Brock Lesnar made his way out to confront Heyman, but was attacked by Austin Theory. Lesnar beat Theory with his own briefcase and, as Theory fled, Drew McIntyre showed up to Claymore Theory (in retaliation for his interference earlier). 9:52-9:59pm EST.

That does it for the WWE work-week, but tune back in here at Rajah News tomorrow night for LIVE SummerSlam results coverage brought to you by one of the best, Matt Boone. Y'all have a safe weekend out there.
