Gerald Brisco Confirms He Has Been Released From WWE, Details Phone Call From Vince McMahon

Gerald Brisco is no longer an employee of World Wrestling Entertainment.

The WWE Hall of Fame legend, who for years has been one of the key talent scouts for the company, confirmed that he has been released after receiving a phone call from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon informing him of the news on Wednesday evening.

"Ok, want to get this out the right way," Brisco started in a statement released via his official Twitter feed on Thursday to publicly announce the news. "Last night I received a call from WWE Chairman Of The Board Vince McMahon to let me know after 36 years of dedication to WWE, I am no longer needed."

Brisco continued, "I’m ok with this. I will still be around to help talent."

The man who portrayed one of the "Stooges" for the Mr. McMahon character alongside Pat Patterson during the infamous WWE Attitude Era wrapped up his statement by teasing that more details are still to come in the near future.

"More info will follow," he wrote. "Thanks."
