-- WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg recently appeared on the "Tim Green - Nothing Left Unsaid" podcast and had harsh words for his tenure in WWE, suggesting that certain things that happened when he arrived in the promotion in 2016 were not a coincidence, including Asuka surpassing his undefeated streak:
"Well, a girl beat my winning streak... beat my undefeated streak. I can't even remember. Asuka was her name, some Japanese girl. And they touted her as being the one to have the longest winning streak. And it just so happened that that culminated when I got there, right? And then it just so happened that every single wrestler uses the spear in their moves, right? Pretty ironic that that happened when I got there, right?"
-- When asked if something happened when he came back to WWE and storylines were potentially changed, Goldberg suggested it was due to him not getting along with Paul "HHH" Levesque:
"The fact that I didn't get along with Paul Levesque, which is Vince's son-in-law, I think had everything to do with it when I got there. I think a lot of that (bad blood) between Hunter and myself was real. We had an interaction when I was in WCW leading the charge in New York at a press event. I had heard...you knew all the behind-the-scenes right? The Kliq, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and they're his buddies."
"So I hurt myself and I know some people that were friends worked with me were talking to him when he was in WWE. And he made a comment while I was at home, and I remember like it was yesterday. He said I was tanking it or faking it or something and I wasn't there for the demise of WCW. And from then on, I wanted to rip his face off. We had a confrontation prior to me signing with WWE and ironically we represented by the same agent and so it made the situation quite uncomfortable once I signed with WWE, let's just say that."
