HBO Max Reportedly Planning To Take Action Against Password Sharing Starting Next Month

The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that HBO Max, which currently hosts AEW's archive and streams their live TV events, will implement stricter measures against password sharing next month.

According to the report, the service plans to charge an additional $7.99 per month for users who want to share their accounts with people outside their households. HBO Max has been using new software for several months to identify which users are legitimate account holders and which are sharing passwords. This approach is similar to what Netflix implemented with its service in the past.
