It was previously reported that WWE Hall of Famer Edge is set to make his return on the July 16th WWE SmackDown episode on FOX from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. This will be WWE's first show back when they make their return to live touring. According to Florida sports reporter Jon Alba, The Rated R Superstar is scheduled to compete in a SmackDown brand match at the WWE SummerSlam PPV on Saturday, August 21st.
There is no word yet on who Edge will be facing at SummerSlam, but he is set to wrestle on the PPV as a babyface. Edge's last match for the WWE took place at last April's WrestleMania 37, when he took on WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat Match, which Roman Reigns won after pinning both Edge and Bryan.

Reported on @theLTGpodcast Patreon this week Edge is currently penciled in for the SummerSlam card as a babyface on the Smackdown side. Seems to give credence to that. https://t.co/mg38CPSn3v
