Last night on WWE NXT, Ricky Saints secured an NXT Championship match against the reigning champion, Joe Hendry, during an in-ring promo segment. This confrontation followed an attack by Hendry on Saints in the Performance Center parking lot, which was a response to Saints’ assault on him the previous week.
Hendry then made his way to the ring and called Saints down. However, Saints appeared instead from the balcony area in the arena, accusing Hendry of stealing the title from him and describing him as a “meme come to life.” Saints claimed he possesses the talent and looks that Hendry lacks in order to be champion. The two exchanged words until Saints ultimately challenged Hendry to defend the title at Vengeance Day, to which Hendry agreed.
WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, in a yet-to-be-announced location. This event will be the first NXT Premium Live Event (PLE) since NXT Deadline in December and is expected to air live on Peacock.
