IMPACT Wrestling On AXS TV Recap (08/04): PCO vs. Doc Gallows

IMPACT Wrestling recently held the latest episode of their flagship show, where the show's main event saw PCO battle Doc Gallows in a Derby City Street Fight.

- Savannah Evans def. Alisha in a Before The IMPACT Match.

- Deonna Purrazzo def. IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Rosemary.

- We then head backstage, where Eddie Edwards tells PCO to prove his loyalty to Honor No More by taking out Doc Gallows in their Derby City Street Fight tonight.

- We then get a backstage segment, where Gia Miller interviews Gisele Shaw ahead of her match with Masha Slamovich tonight. Gisele Shaw claims that the reason she has been avoiding Masha Slamovich is because she hasn’t been able to scout her.

- Brian Myers (c) def. Black Taurus to retain his IMPACT Digital Media Championship. After the match, Bhupinder Gujjar makes his way down to the ring and tosses Brian Myers back into the ring as he joins Decay in a 3-on-1 assault on the champ. Gujjar then sends Myers a message with the Gargoyle Spear.

- We then head backstage, where Gia Miller asks IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace if her recent tag team loss with Mia Yim is going to cause friction between them in their IMPACT Knockouts World Title Match at Emergence. Jordynne Grace says that whether it is a friend or a foe standing across from her in the ring, everyone is an obstacle that she must overcome.

- We then see an incredible moment from this past weekend's Ric Flair's Last Match Event, when IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander fought alongside Diamond Dallas Page to thwart an attack from IMPACT Digital Media Champion Brian Myers and Matt Cardona.

- Masha Slamovich def. Gisele Shaw.

- We then see the IMPACT Plus Moment of the Week where Mia Yim become the IMPACT Knockouts World Champion in a match involving Madison Rayne. Gail Kim then announces a rematch between the two for next week's show.

- We then get a backstage segment, where Jessicka looks to redeem herself after inadvertently costing Rosemary her match against Deonna Purrazzo earlier tonight. Jessicka says that at Emergence she vows that Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie will defeat VXT to remain the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champions.

- Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) def. Violent By Design (Joe Doering and Deaner). After the match, Violent By Design assaults the Motor City Machine Guns but KUSHIDA makes his way down to the ring to make the save. Moments later, KUSHIDA is blindsided by Eric Young who spikes him with a vicious Piledriver.

- We then get a backstage segment, where Chris Sabin and KUSHIDA lay out the challenge for a tag team match against Violent By Design at Emergence. IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander then tells Shelley to be careful because he needs him at 100% for their upcoming title showdown. Moments later, Honor No More leader Eddie Edwards tells Josh Alexander that it’s time for him to open his eyes and see what’s really going on in IMPACT Wrestling.

- Sami Callihan def. Raj Singh. After the match, Sami Callihan calls out both Moose and Steve Maclin for a fight. Moose’s music hits but it’s Maclin who’s standing at the top of the ramp. Moose then blindsides Sami Callihan in the ring before Maclin hits him with a low blow moments later. Moose then spears Sami Callihan followed by the KIA from Steve Maclin. Moose then leaves on his own.

- We then get a backstage segment, where the Bullet Club is hanging back as Doc Gallows goes to war with PCO in a Derby City Street Fight up next.

- PCO def. IMPACT World Tag Team Champion Doc Gallows in a Derby City Street Fight. After the match, it is total carnage in the IMPACT Zone as PCO celebrates his victory and IMPACT Wrestling goes off the air.
