IMPACT Wrestling On AXS TV Recap (12/22): Jordynne Grace and Mickie James vs. Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans

IMPACT Wrestling recently held the latest episode of their flagship show, where the show's main event saw IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and Mickie James take on Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans in Knockouts Division Tag Team action.

- Taylor Wilde def. KiLynn King in a Before The IMPACT Match.

- Death Dollz (Jessicka and Rosemary) (c) def. Deonna Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw to retain their IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

- Mickie James approaches IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and tells her that she needs to be the one to defeat Tasha Steelz tonight. Jordynne Grace then says that her job is to make sure they get the job done and that James makes it to their Title vs. Career match at Hard To Kill.

- Sami Callihan then makes his way down to the ring to address his recent issues he has had with The Design. Callihan admits that he has been in a losing battle ever since he took care of Eric Young. Callihan then calls out The Design to finish this once and for all. Deaner then leads Kon and Angels down the ramp as Deaner calls Callihan “sick” for mutilating his body in exchange for the admiration of the fans. Callihan then reveals that he is not here to fight, he is here to join The Design. Deaner then turns down Callihan's offer and attacks him with the microphone. Kon and Angels then hold Callihan while Deaner drives his fingers into his eyes. Deaner then takes Callihan out with a vicious DDT as The Design stands tall.

- "Speedball" Mike Bailey def. Yuya Uemura in a Singles Match.

- Kenny King then continues to play mind games with Mike Bailey as he addresses Speedball from Mexico City. King claims that Speedball doesn’t deserve to be in his presence.

- New IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns reveal that they will defend their IMPACT World Tag Team Titles in a 4-Way Elimination Match at Hard To Kill against former IMPACT World Tag Team Champions Heath and Rhino, the Major Players (Brian Myers and Matt Cardona) and the Bullet Club (Ace Austin and Chris Bey), but Chris Sabin will first go one-on-one with Matt Cardona in two weeks.

- John Skyler and Jason Hotch vs. Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice in Tag Team action never got started.

- We head backstage where IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore tells IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander that Tommy Dreamer is on his way to the hospital and luckily, he is going to be okay. Josh Alexander then regrets acting cold towards Tommy Dreamer earlier tonight. A fired up “Walking Weapon” is then determined to beat Bully Ray at what he is known for and suggests their IMPACT World Title Match at Hard To Kill becomes a Full Metal Mayhem Match. D’Amore then says that Alexander needs to bring his hate, anger and violence to Hard To Kill because Full Metal Mayhem is official, but until then D’Amore is sending both Alexander and Bully Ray home until Friday, January 13th.

- Steve Maclin vs. Rich Swann in a Singles Match ends in a Double Countout. After the match, Steve Maclin then puts his hands on the referee and assaults members of the security team. Rich Swann then regains his composure and the fight is on. Rich Swann then launches himself off the apron into both Steve Maclin and a sea of security guards.

- Alisha Edwards then gives her husband, Eddie Edwards, a pep-talk ahead of his match with Jonathan Gresham at Hard To Kill. Alisha tells him that he needs to defeat Jonathan Gresham in order to put his past behind him once and for all.

- IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and Mickie James def. Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans in a Knockouts Division Tag Team Match. After the Match, Jordynne Grace and Mickie James exchange words in the middle of the ring. Tensions escalate and it would lead to a Mick Kick from James. Mickie James then exits the ring as Jordynne Grace stares her down. IMPACT Wrestling then goes off the air.
