IMPACT Wrestling recently made one more title match official for their upcoming Emergence PPV. IMPACT X-Division Champion "Speedball" Mike Bailey defended his IMPACT X-Division Championship against Rocky Romero during last night's episode of their flagship show and came out of the match still the current reigning IMPACT X-Division Champion. Due to his victory, Mike Bailey will now defend his championship against Jack Evans at IMPACT's Emergence PPV.
Tonight's IMPACT X-Division Title Match will be the fifth title defense for Mike Bailey since winning the title in an Ultimate X Match at IMPACT's Slammiversary last June 19, when he defeated Ace Austin, Andrew Everett, Trey Miguel, Alex Zayne and Kenny King. He has since defended his title against Rocky Romero, Trey Miguel, Alan Angels, 1 Called Manders and Jack Cartwheel.
IMPACT's Emergence PPV will mark Jack Evans' first official Singles Match with the promotion as Evans was set to compete in the Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary, but was pulled from the PPV Event due to an injury. Evans made his IMPACT Wrestling debut back in September of 2018 at the promotion's tapings in Mexico, when he competed in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Cameron Grimes, Puma King and the eventual winner Petey Williams. Jack Evans was recently named as the new #1 Contender to Speedball's IMPACT X-Division Championship.
