-- Impact Wrestling released a video hyping the upcoming Slammiversary PPV, making it official that the event will take place on Saturday, July 18. The location for the PPV was not announced. In the video (below), an unidentified person is seen watching a screen with a news report airing (with the titles "You're Fired") and in it, several recently released WWE superstars are featured, with footage from their Impact days aired. Some of these wrestlers include: Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Drake Maverick, Curt Hawkins, Mike & Maria Kanellis, and EC3. A flag of Bulgaria was also very briefly shown, obviously implying Rusev. These wrestlers were all released from WWE on April 15, which would make them eligible to compete for Impact - or anywhere else - by mid July and before the announced Slammiversary date.
