-- The WrestleVotes account reports that WWE's plans for this year's SummerSlam are scrapped, with the tentative card "torn up" as a result of both the lack of audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the injury to Edge. Originally, it appears WWE was going to be putting Edge in one of the top matches but the triceps injury that he suffered shelved those plans. WWE also was going to be using Brock Lesnar on the card in a high profile match, but with no fans in attendance, there is little desire to have him back for an empty arena show.
Was told this weekend the projected SummerSlam card that creative had in place a few months ago has been torn up. Edge’s injury played a big part, as well as the lack of audience - no fans means WWE has little desire to have Lesnar on the PPV. 2 major matches scrapped.
