Janel Grant Drops All Claims Against John Laurinaitis; Laurinaitis To Provide Evidence Against Vince McMahon

Janel Grant's legal team announced today that they have rescinded all claims against former WWE executive John Laurinaitis in her ongoing lawsuit against various parties where she is alleging sexual abuse at the hands for former CEO Vince McMahon.

In a Wednesday morning court filing with the US District Court of Connecticut, Grant "voluntarily dismissed" the case with prejudice against Laurinaitis meaning she cannot re-file the claims at a later date. She will continue her case against McMahon and WWE.

"Plaintiff Janel Grant hereby stipulates with Defendant John Laurinaitis that the above-entitled action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice, against Defendant John Laurinaitis. For the sake of clarity, Plaintiff is not dismissing any claims against any defendant other than Mr. Laurinaitis. Each party shall bear its own costs."

Interestingly, in a statement, Grant's lawyer's revealed that in exchange for having allegations against him dropped, Laurinaitis has agreed to provide evidence in the lawsuit against McMahon.

"John Laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE,” Grant’s representatives said. “His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable and bringing justice to Ms. Grant after years of sexual abuse and trafficking. Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time."
