In a recent episode of "What Do You Wanna Talk About? With Cody Rhodes," Grammy-nominated country music star Jelly Roll discussed various topics, including his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam over the weekend. He shared how he approached WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque with the request to lose the match.
This is what Jelly Roll said, “I told Triple H, ‘I want to lose at SummerSlam.’ No celebrity has ever taken an L. You always put him over. If you don’t put me over, I always have a reason. There is always something lingering. I can pop up anytime.”
Jelly Roll teamed up with "The Viper" Randy Orton to take on Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre on the first night of SummerSlam last Saturday. Logan Paul secured the victory for his team by pinning Jelly Roll. During the match, Roll was also hit with a splash through a table by Paul, who jumped off the top rope onto the table outside the ring. In the post-show following SummerSlam on Saturday, Triple H praised Jelly Roll and expressed his utmost respect for the music artist.
