- Jim Ross checked in on social media on Monday with the latest update on his skin cancer treatment. 'Good Ole' J.R.' wrote via his Twitter page, "#20 IS DONE! Driving back to the beach thinking of there being only [two] more treatments. Back on AEW Dynamite [on] Wednesday Night!" Check out the tweet below.

- Also chiming in on social media to comment on the return of J.R. at this week's AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash show is Matt Lee, who is one-half of the Team 2point0 duo with Jeff Parker. Lee commented on J.R.'s return to AEW commentary on this Wednesday's show, which also features a scheduled six-man tag-team match pitting Team 2point0 and Daniel Garcia against Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz. Lee wrote, "So pumped to have J.R. back to add his touch on the embarrassment of Eddie Kingston this Wednesday night." Check out the tweet below.

- Also new from the social media world of AEW is a tweet from Taz, who commented on a post shared by the official Twitter feed of All Elite Wrestling. The AEW tweet promoted video highlights of the AEW Rampage: Holiday Bash 2021 main event from this past Friday night, which saw Cody Rhodes defeat Sammy Guevara to become a three-time TNT Champion.
