Jim Ross Makes Case For nWo "Hollywood" Hogan Character As Best Of Hulk Hogan's Career

If you ask "Good Ole' J.R.," the red-and-yellow, "say your prayers and take your vitamins, brother" version of Hulkamania in WWE isn't the best iteration of the career of the pro wrestling legend.

During the latest installment of his "Grilling J.R." podcast, WWE Hall of Fame legend and current AEW commentator Jim Ross was asked what his favorite version of Hulk Hogan was -- his classic Hulk Hogan babyface character, the faux super-hero masked "Mr. America" gimmick, or the black and white heel nWo persona known as "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan.

Featured below is an excerpt from the show where he makes his case for the nWo heel edition of "The Hulkster" being the best of the three versions.

“I really liked Hogan as a heel in the NWO. I thought he made that group so relevant, and their results speak for themselves. I really liked the heel Hogan because it was new. It was fresh. I thought that was very, very well done creatively, and it was great until they started everybody and their brother to the group. If it would have stayed Hall, Nash, and Hogan, maybe one more, X-Pac for example, I’m ok with all of that. But when they started adding more and more people, I thought they watered it down."
