Joey Ryan is no longer a Disneyland employee.
The pro wrestling veteran had been working as a handler for the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland, but has reportedly been fired from his job.
Ryan, who was accused of sexual assault during the #SpeakingOut campaign in 2020, has been going viral in a photo that shows him working as a handler at the world-famous theme park.
A veteran of IMPACT Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, the National Wrestling Alliance and Lucha Underground, among other promotions, Ryan was working at Disneyland under a probationary period for the past three months before ultimately being let go.
LATimes.com reported the following:
“The theme park’s screening process for potential employees includes a criminal background check, but Disneyland officials said that check did not alert them about the harassment accusations against Meehan, under his stage name, that appeared in social media posts, wrestling fan sites and sports blogs in recent years.”
