John Cena Discusses Plans For Last Year in WWE, Triple H Talks WWE Money in the Bank

-- Following last night's Money in the Bank, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H as well as John Cena participated in a post-show press conference where they fielded questions from the media. Below are the top highlights and notes from the responses:

  • Cena indicated that 2025 will be his final year in wrestling and that he plans to wrestle at the Royal Rumble in 2025, WrestleMania 41 as well as Elimination Chamber next year before wrapping up his in-ring career in December of 2025. Cena also said he hopes to be on WWE Raw when it launches on Netflix in January and targets about 30-40 shows in the new year.
  • Even though he will finish his in-ring career next year, Cena hinted that he will remain involved with WWE in some capacity and doesn't want to distance himself too much from wrestling.
  • When asked who his last opponent could be and whether it's possible it might be The Rock, Cena said he is not in position to determine that.
  • Triple H said Cena is absolutely worthy of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame but when that happens and who will induct him is a conversation that will take place with Cena at some point in the future when he's ready.
  • Triple H claimed that WWE sold about 45,000 tickets for Money in the Bank in Toronto, helping make it the highest gate in Canada in WWE history.
  • There were no significant injuries coming out of Money in the Bank.
  • Triple H hinted that Canada will get another major event before the end of 2024.
  • Triple H declined to comment on the ongoing federal investigation into the Vince McMahon sexual assault case.
