Johnny Knoxville didn't last long in the ring on Saturday night.
As advertised, the co-founder of the Jackass movie and film franchise appeared in the Men's Royal Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view on Saturday night at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Knoxville entered the ring during the bout as the ninth entrant, and was eliminated just a couple of minutes later. After giving a stiff shot to AJ Styles, "The Phenomenal One" nearly took the stunt man and actor's head off with a vicious combination, which set up his elimination at the hands of Sami Zayn.
Following the show, Knoxville spoke with WWE.com for an exclusive post-match interview backstage at the arena. Knoxville was accompanied by other members of the cast of the new Jackass Forever movie that hits theaters on February 4, 2022.
He spoke about his performance in the match and noted that despite coming up short this weekend in his quest to become the "King of WWE," he is still hoping to some day become the WWE Champion. For his part, Zayn also spoke in a backstage interview at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, MO. following his performance in the Men's Royal Rumble match.
