Jon Moxley Reflects Back On Early WWE Days As Part Of The Shield & "The Shield Work Ethic"

Jon Moxley continues to make the media rounds to promote the AEW Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view this Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

During a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, the AEW World Champion reflected back on his run as part of The Shield with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in WWE.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on this topic with his thoughts.

On the early WWE days for The Shield: “Looking back, it was like we were kids. The first few months of The Shield were f*cking intense. It was a different time back then. We weren’t necessarily welcomed with open arms by everybody, but we didn’t give a f*ck. We were going to push the pace and have good f*cking matches. Before long, everybody wanted to start working with us.”

On "The Shield work ethic," which he claims they still have: "We created that ‘Shield work ethic.' The people we were around have that, too. Claudio [Castagnoli] is an old riding partner of The Shield. Hell, Bryan [Danielson] was our opponent in our first match. I still have that. We all do. It makes us who we are.”
