NJPW previously announced that the current IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira and TJP) will defend their IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championships against Clark Connors and Dan "Drilla" Moloney of Bullet Club on night one of their STRONG Independence Day Event on Tuesday, July 4 and NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA will put his championship on the line against AEW's Eddie Kingston on night two of their STRONG Independence Day Event on Wednesday, July 5.
Night one of NJPW's STRONG Independence Day Event will also feature top AEW Star and former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley teaming up with Homicide to take on El Desperado and Jun Kasai in Tag Team action and now it has also been made official that Jon Moxley will be battling El Desperado in a Final Death Match on night two of NJPW's STRONG Independence Day PPV, which has been revealed as an anything goes match. Both the July 4th and July 5th show will take place from inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
