"The Walking Weapon" has had a rough week.
Josh Alexander relinquished the IMPACT World Championship after suffering a triceps injury that will require surgery.
After giving up his title due to the injury, the IMPACT veteran took to social media to comment on what he described as a "devastating" occurrence.
"Safe to say this news is devastating," Alexander wrote via Twitter. "I’ve torn my tricep. I will have to relinquish my IMPACT WRESTLING World title immediately."
Alexander continued, "I’m heading into surgery momentarily. I’m so thankful for my Impact family for the support. I’ll be back & I’ll be better than ever. [folded hands emoji] [victory hand emoji]."
