Josh Alexander recently spoke with Sports Illustrated to promote his IMPACT Championship match against Christian Cage at this week's IMPACT Bound For Glory 2021 pay-per-view.
During the discussion, "The Walking Weapon" spoke about The North tag-team he was part of in the past with "All Ego" Ethan Page, getting to the point in his career where he is challenging for a major world title and more.
Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On his tag team run with Ethan Page as The North: “I never wanted to tag with anyone else after he left for another company. We had a unique kind of chemistry that helped bring us to that upper-tier level, and that’s what made The North very special. When I realized I was going to be on my own again, my goal was to make the best of it. That started in the X Division, and then my reign as X Division champion, and now I’m looking at the richest prize in Impact Wrestling.”
On getting to the point in his career that he is at right now: “It’s been nearly 16 years to get me to this point to vie for a world title. I’ve grinded and worked my way up to reach this opportunity.”
