Kendal Grey Relinquishes EVOLVE Womenโ€™s Title After Latest Title Defense

During this past Wednesday's episode of WWE EVOLVE, Kendal Grey defended the WWE EVOLVE Women's Title against Olympic gold medalist and LFG season one winner, Tyra Mae Steele. The match concluded with Grey defeating Steele in the main event using her signature move, the Shades of Grey.

After the match, Grey went to the entrance area to deliver a promo in which she expressed her gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support from the beginning of her career. She acknowledged that EVOLVE provided her a platform to build her confidence and emphasized that she couldn't have accomplished this without the fansโ€™ encouragement. Grey declared that just as she had taken over EVOLVE, she intended to take over NXT every Tuesday. She then vacated the title and handed it to the new EVOLVE General Manager, Timothy Thatcher.

Grey held the EVOLVE Women's Championship for a recognized total of 147 days, having won it at EVOLVE Succession I from Kali Armstrong. She has competed semi-regularly in NXT and has challenged for the NXT Women's Championship twice. Additionally, she was the 2025 Womenโ€™s Iron Survivor, winning that match at NXT Deadline. Grey is also part of the WrenQCC alongside Wren Sinclair on NXT, which airs on The CW in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
