Kenny Omega broke his silence after the TBS cameras stopped rolling on Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite broadcast.
At the event in Charleston, West Virginia on August 17, 2022, Omega returned as the mystery partner for The Young Bucks in their main event showdown against Andrade El Idolo, RUSH and Dragon Lee.
Following the conclusion of the event, Omega jumped on the microphone and spoke to the fans in attendance at the TV shoot, which included a taping of Friday's Rampage broadcast for TNT.
As indicated in the match itself, Omega spoke about feeling a step behind the Bucks and mentioned how he questioned if he could still compete at the level he was used to performing at.
He compared the fans to cats and pets who "pee and poop" all over your house, and you get mad that you have to clean it but can't hate a little cat.
Omega noted that he does what he does for the fans, and mentions how he may blame and resent them on TV, but he admits that deep down he appreciates them -- as long as what he's saying never airs on the show.
