Kenny Omega Set To Defend AEW International Championship At Fyter Fest Event

Kenny Omega may have just come out of one of the most brutal matches of his career, but there’s no rest for champions in AEW.

Following the wild Anarchy in the Arena at Double or Nothing, it was revealed that Omega will put his AEW International Championship on the line in a four-way match at Fyter Fest on Wednesday, June 4. The event will air as a special four-hour edition on TBS.

His opponents haven’t been decided yet, but a mini-tournament will determine the three challengers, starting this week on Dynamite and Collision.

Here’s what the tournament looks like:

On Dynamite from El Paso: Josh Alexander vs. Brody King

On Collision (taped after Dynamite in El Paso): Claudio Castagnoli vs. Komander, and Mascara Dorada vs. Hechicero

The winners of those matches will earn a spot in the four-way title match against Omega the following week in Denver.

Omega has been International Champion for nearly 80 days, claiming the title at Revolution in March by defeating Konosuke Takeshita. His only defense since then came at Dynasty, where he successfully retained in a triple threat against “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Ricochet.
