WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently took to the debut episode of his Kliq This podcast and revealed that WWE owner Vince McMahon once asked him if he could join The Kliq faction, which consists of "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Scott Hall and himself.
Kevin Nash said:
“He walked in and goes, ‘Let me ask you guys f***ing something right now. What’s the deal with this f***ing Kliq?’ We just sat there like, ‘Oh, f***.’ This is a different tone than he’s ever taken. [Vince said] ‘Because, God dammit, I want in.’ And we all looked at him and laughed.”
Kevin Nash also talked about how The Kliq not only came up with things for themselves, but for others as well.
Kevin Nash said:
“He basically kind of told us, ‘You guys are busting your a** coming up with sh**.’ We just didn’t come up with sh** for ourselves, we came up with sh** for other guys too.”
The Kliq was rumored to have a lot of power and influence in the WWE locker room back in the 90's and it was even rumored that WWE owner Vince McMahon supported The Kliq in a lot of ways and even granted them anything they wanted. It was also rumored and speculated that WWE owner Vince McMahon knew about the infamous “Curtain Call” before it happened and that he even sided with Michaels over Bret Hart in the infamous “Montreal Screw Job.” There are many signs and instances that would suggest that McMahon has shown a lot of favoritism for The Kliq, but that was never confirmed or proven and it is possible that we may never know the true extent.
