Kurt Angle Gives Advice On Cutting A Good Promo, Praises Velveteen Dream, Talks Backstage Feeling During Ruthless Aggression Era

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently held a Q&A on his Facebook page to talk all things pro-wrestling. Highlights are below.

Talks famous promo from the Invasion storyline:

It was all improv. Vince led the way and Austin followed. Steve is a rare breed, he was kick-ass and funny at the same time. Great times... not to mention all of the HOFers in that promo. It was awesome!

The feeling backstage during the Ruthless Aggression Era:

It was fun. We had a little more creative control over our own characters and the wrestling just kept getting better. It might have been the best era in wrestling. Maybe.

Advice on cutting a good promo:

It takes time and effort to perfect promos. You have to show emotion and connect with the fans. Even at my age, I’m still learning. Connect with the fans in a positive or negative way and you’re good to go.

His favorite championship title design:

I liked the Undisputed Championship the most.

Who he sees as a top guy in NXT:

It’s hard to say. I always liked Velveteen Dream. But…there are so many great talents in NXT right now.
