Kurt Angle Offers High Praise For Ricochet & Kenny Omega

Kurt Angle recently appeared as a guest on The Grue Rume Show for an in-depth interview promoting his new Peacock documentary, "ANGLE."

During the discussion, the Olympic gold medalist and WWE / IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame legend spoke highly about current WWE Superstar Ricochet and AEW star Kenny Omega.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On being high on Kenny Omega and Ricochet: “I like watching Kenny Omega wrestle for AEW. He’s a great wrestler. A great athlete. I love the guys, wrestlers like Ricochet in WWE. I think he’s really underrated. I think a guy like that can be a huge main eventer for the company and draw a lot of money for them. The matches that he has are just incredible.”

On who he would’ve wanted to wrestle: “Bret Hart, I would have loved to work. Bret Hart. I think he’s one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. I put him up there with Chris Benoit, myself, and Eddie Guerrero, and I would have loved to work with him. He was the one guy when I got in the business that I was kind of focused on. This is who I want to work with eventually, someday. Unfortunately, he left the WWE a year before I came in, and he ended up getting injured in WCW and had to retire. So it was unfortunate. I didn’t get to wrestle him. Bret and I talk about it all the time. The one person he would have loved to wrestle was me. And, you know, we call each other every once in a while, and we talk about what would have been and what could have been, but the only thing it does is it ends up making us depressed. So we don’t talk about that much anymore.”
