As previously reported, former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and 6-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA made his return to NJPW at the promotion's New Japan Road 2022 Day 5 Event last Tuesday night from inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, when he confronted the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori following Ishimori's successful title defense over Hiromu Takahashi in the main event.
KUSHIDA told Taiji Ishimori that he has signed with NJPW and that he will be spending the rest of his pro wrestling career with the promotion. It was then announced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that KUSHIDA will be making his in-ring return for the company at their NJPW New Japan Road Day 6 Event on Sunday, July 3rd, when he teams with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Alex Zayne to face The Bullet Club (KENTA, Taiji Ishimori and Gedo) in 6-Man Tag Team action.
NJPW also announced that KUSHIDA will team with Hiroshi Tanahashi to go up against Bullet Club (KENTA and Taiji Ishimori) at their NJPW New Japan Road Day 7 Event on Monday, July 4th from inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion and six-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion recently took to his Instagram and commented on his return to NJPW and he also revealed the details of the contract he signed with the company.
