AEW superstar Lance Archer has made quite an impact since joining the promotion back in early March as the client of Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts. The former IWGP United States champion was immediately featured as a top player, and is currently in the semifinals of the TNT title tournament.
According to TalkSport's Alex McCarthy, Archer knew he would be signing with AEW by the time he faced Jon Moxley at NJPW's WrestleKingdom 14. The report states that while Archer was courted by many different companies, AEW was much more attentive and adamant about him being involved.
Lance Archer told me today that he knew he was signing for AEW by the time he faced Jon Moxley at WK14
He had several offers from elsewhere but AEW were 'much more attentive' to having him apart of their company. Not any one person courted him, several did from talent to execs.— Alex McCarthy (@AlexM_talkSPORT) April 28, 2020
He's set to face Dustin Rhodes this Wednesday on Dynamite.
