-- Former AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker has been in the news over the past week for all the wrong reasons. An initial report emerged from PWTorch which suggested that Baker was extremely disliked backstage by her peers and that AEW was having her sit out the rest of her contract as she is phased out of the company. A different report then came out suggesting that while AEW doesn't have any plans for her at the moment, the reports of her leaving the company were blown completely out of proportion.
-- Soon after that, more rumors began swirling that took things off the rails with comments on her personal life and her now-ended relationship with Adam Cole. On his podcast, former wrestler Konnan opened up a can of worms by stating that the Baker-Cole relationship ended because she was cheating on him. This prompted Baker to break her silence and proclaim that the rumors were completely false.
-- On WrestleVotes Radio, the topic of Baker's status with AEW was discussed along with possible interest from WWE should she ever depart the promotion. According to WrestleVotes, AEW sources offered up a "no comment" on Baker while WWE sources noted that if she ever became available, the company would absolutely have a significant interest in bringing her in. However, internally within WWE they don't expect that to be a possibility any time soon as Baker remains locked under a contract (believed to run through the middle or end of 2026).
