Indie wrestler Stuart "Syko Stu" Smith was the victim of a scary assault at the hands of Raja Jackson at a recent KnokX Pro event that sent him to the hospital where he remains in critical care. It was shared that Smith had regained consciousness but suffered multiple broken bones and teeth as a result. Today, fellow wrestler Douglas Malo, who came to Smith's rescue during the attack, provided an update to TMZ:
"[Stu] remembers mostly what happened during the early parts of the day. He's talking a little bit. He's alert. He's still got some injuries that are very serious. Not, like, life-threatening serious, but, facial injuries, stuff like that."
Malo also spoke a bit about his intervention, suggesting that Jackson would have done the same to him if given the opportunity:
"I'm pissed at what he did to my friend. I'm pissed for him punching me in the face. I'm pissed for him that when I went to take him off and told him to calm down, he tried to double leg me."
